i'm probably going to stay with the wheels that are on it. if anything, i would just get wider rims of he same style so i could put wider tires

i do not want to get into customizing this thing

that's funny to me. no customizing yet you wanna stick the motor in it aint that customizing ?

mystery machine, you make a good point. i guess what i mean is that i don't want to make it look any different than stock. that means, stock interior, stock paint, stock wheels.

the whole "putting the 410 into it" thing is still up in the air. the thing is that i don't really want to lose that 410 that i poured my soul into, and when i sell the stang, i will only sell it with the motor if someone is willing to pay a fair price for it, which to me is $15K at the very least. i don't know why, but i doubt that anyone will offer me that much for it because of the paint and the condition of the interior.

but if i do end up doing that, i will hold on to the 390 in case i ever decide that i need to sell the fairlane, because these cars are a whole lot more valuable stock than they are if they are modified.

ah sleeper. I know what you mean on the better having them stock. Its the same deal with my 66. I would love to drop a big motor in that thing but it would kill the value so stock it stays

nice i bet your psyched.

my dad and brother and I are looking for a project big block drag car to start building, and one of the cars i found was a 67 fairlane hardtop.

It's really coming together! Looks alot different from when I saw it on the West Coast...can't wait to see a finished product
