I had a car dropped off last week to diagnose a no-start condition.
The owner wanted a new fuel pump installed.
I did that but did not fix the issue. So once I dug into it, I found a bad distributor (TFI) and later the entire distributor and a weak/defective coil.
As all foxbody projects go, once I got into it, I found other problems such as a leaking water pump.
Parts needed to fix and send home -
Aeromotive 340lph fuel pump
Replaced distributor, TFI, and coil.
Replaced water pump.
Replaced balancer (could not read numbers, the old aftermarket one was rusted so bad no amount of scotchbrite, cleaner, or rust remover could help it).
Car runs great again and owner states it runs better than ever.
