Fan and Shroud Removal ??

I have a 1991 LX 5.0 Mustang convertible. I want to remove the entire fan blade and shroud over the fan. Which 4 bolts do I take off to remove the fan and shroud? The 4 bolts on the small circle adapter or the 4 bolts on the larger circle adapter next to the fan? I have already taken the 2 top screws off that holds the shroud on.

The four on the "small" circle that hold the pulley on.

Thanks BrandRX, that's what I thought. I got 3 of the bolts off, but the last bolt will not budge. I have used PB Blaster and some other stuff for rusted bolts, with no success.

Once I get the last bolt off, does the fan and shroud lift up easily or do I have to pry the adapter off on the pulley?

Just give it a tap with a mallet and the shroud and fan will lift off easily together. To avoid a possible mess, I would go ahead and take off the coolant res. and drain it. good luck with the last bolt...thers is always one that has to be a p.i.t.a.!
