Fan Control Unit Wiring Help

Was at the Goodguys car show today & came across an adjustable thermostat for the spal fan I have. Right now I have it hooked up with a manual switch & relay setup. The fan control unit I bought has only 3 connections 1 for the fan motor,1 for 12volts & the other I don't know what it means. It says the last wire goes to the compressor coil. Can anyone help me out with that. I assumed there would be some sort of ground & thats what this wire is for, but I'm not sure.

The one labled to the compressor coil is so that it will turn on with the AC compressor. You could also hook a relay & temp sensor up so that it will automatically turn on & off.

I'm not sure if you're into buying something else....

I have a Hayden model that controls both of my electric fans. It's got a built in thermostat with a temp probe that you push into the radiator. When it hits anywhere from 160-195 (depending on where you set it), the fans will both come on. It also uses the A/C Clutch turn on. Like I said it powers both fans with the same thermostat, so it was the clear option for me.

Thanks for the tip on the compressor coil.

This unit is actually supposed to turn on/off at whatever I set it at. How I have it now is a Bosch relay & a toggle switch. I'm going to leave the switch & relay in & try to wire the fan control unit to the relay. Im going to set it to turn the fan on around 195 & off at 180. Only thing I can't figure out is if I need another relay. Right now I have the toggle hooked up to 87 of the relay, thats where I'm supposed to wire the fan control unit to. I see on the relay there is a 87A, Im not sure if it's possible to wire it up to there?
