My car was running a little warm so I thought I would try the cooling fan toggle-switch trick in the FAQ. It was working fine for about a minute of driving until all of the sudden the car shut off and wouldnt restart. I found it out to be the EEC fuse in the fuse on in the engine compartment. I replaced it and left the fan off and it was fine. Is there anything I can do?? Has anyone ever heard of this happening before?? Anything to help would be greatfully appreciated.

How exactly did you wire this up?

I wired it up with a relay to the high setting on the fan. I used switched 12 volt sources, good grounds and all brand new wire. It really makes no sense to me.

All you are supposed to do is ground that wire #17 not add power to it.

JR is right... there is already power to the fan... all we do is ground it to complete the circuit.

You like added DOUBLE the power to the fan.
