Needed a timing tape.
Ordered one from Summit.
Delivered yesterday.
Charged $9+ just for shipping.
As others didn’t have the correct one in stock I bit the bullet and ordered it. $23:72 total.
Yes I feel I was bent over pretty damn good.

Ask me about my $32 brake bleeder screw. Sometimes that's just the way it goes.

I'd be lying if I said I never spent $15 to ship a $2 part.

Then there's Amazon, which ships a $2 item for free in the biggest damn box I've ever seen.

Be aware Summit has a $9.99 handling charge on everything. On smaller items they usually just take the shipping out of that, giving you somewhat of a break. Any order over $99 is free shipping but they still charge the $9.99 handling charge.

They do have quallity stuff at good prices though. I just finished painting my truck at home. The local paint store wanted $850 for primer/paint/clear/activator. Got it from Summit for $218! Wouldn't ship to California though, so I took a road trip with the wife and drove 500 miles round trip to Reno and picked it up at their store. Stayed overnight at a casino, picnic lunch on the Truckee river and made a weekend out of it. Cost me $200 in gas/hotel/food. Still saved over $400!

I had my daughter try and find it on Amazon.
She has one of those prime accounts.
No luck.
They had some, but not the 6 3/8 “

Never order from summit unless you’re spending over $99.

Unless you really need it

I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent, trying to figure out what else I can add to my cart to hit the minimum amount.

Yup! When you need it, and it's not a Prime item, you just get hit. I had a bleeder screw break off on an Aerospace caliper. At the time you could only get them from Aerospace, and it was a 2 pack, plus shipping and handling. No way around it.
