The fastest we got during the entire thing was 90 MPH, on the FREEWAY, at 12:30 in the morning. No one was out. I even seem to remember mentioning in my thread that I would have never driven like that at all had there been anyone else out there. And IMO, there is a huge difference between catching up with someone who thinks it's funny to vandalize someone's car to make sure the police know about it and that it won't happen to someone else, and "testing" their friends BMW on the freeway. Not to mention the difference between 90 MPH at the highest point, and 133 MPH.

People drive faster than I did at midnight at 7:35 in the morning on the 405 cause they're 20 minutes late to work, in terrible traffic, and you wanna attack me cause I tried to make sure some innocent guy and his girl didn't get screwed over? lol, nice attempt though.

I agree, not to say it was "right" but I took a 30 mile trip the other day on the highway and everyone including me cruises at 80mph, 90 isnt that bad. Once you start getting past 100mph things start moving VERY VERY fast, one little slip and your done, in the 70-80mph range you still can have full control of the car, and slow down to a decent speed alot faster then if you were over 100mph. Im not saying I would have done the same, but you cant compare a 133mph joy ride and be dumb enough to get caught, to 90mph to help someone.

83 in a 65 was my biggest. I've gone a lot dumber speeds than that but now that I know I can scare myself to death at those speeds I'm done

91 in a 60. Was let go with just a ticket. That was over 10 years ago in my 89GT. I was pulled by a county cop driving a notch 5.0 with no light bar. Just had side markings and a blue light in the window. I was trying to get to the next exit because the girl in the pass seat was puking from drinking too much. So im driving with one hand on her holding her head toward the window, so she dont puke in my stang. It was about 1:00 in the morning, the only other car out there was HIM. Guess he was parked somewhere.

177kmph=108mph and he said i was still going. i said yeah i had it to the floor. this was in a 100kmph zone, was 2am on sunday morning, was a town cop, and he dropped it to 15kmph over, is a 52$ fine. he said i was polite ad honest and it would basically ruin my life if he wrote me up. my speedo starts blinking (digital) and wont go higher than 136kmph or 86mph

When I was 17 I was in my dads S10 driving on a back woods road. I was doing 85 when the speed limit dropped from 50 to 35. And a Deputy on the side of the woods pulled me. He wrote me as doing 75 in a 35. He never showed up to court. I have never gotten another ticket.

LMAO! I'll bet dollars to donuts you bought some cheapo piece of crap. Get a good detector (spend like 300+) and marvel at the difference. I got an escort and I couldn't be happier. So much more warning time than my old crappy cobra.

Of course its better in some situations than others. The rural twisty highways I drive in NH are really well suited to them. Cops tend to aim their units high and leave them blasting. I get so much warning off those that I usually start getting pissed at the wait to "spot the cop." Or I pick upi a cop thats two roads over.

I also get great warning for the highway as well. And almost no false reports (except for some security systems, but mine shows the freq number and I've pretty much memorized most of the local PDs). I even get good warning on the new digital Ka bands.

What it will not help you with is instant on radar or laser. It'll just tell you you have been nabbed.

Anyway highest speed for me was 20 over, which is my usual upper limit (I mostly stick to 10 over)

Didnt get caught, but about 5 years ago, a friend of mine and i went to the grand canyon.. on the way back, we decided to go to back via RT 66...

i was going roughly about 75-80, hell, i had the cruise on, because there is nothing... and i mean NOTHING out there.. out of nowhere i see something hauling serious ass behind me... so im figuring the guy wants to catch up and mess with me, right? hmm i was a little wrong.. this dodge caravan BLOWS by me doing at least 110.. my jaw drops, i look at my buddy and hes cracking up because i just got passed.. by a minivan... ok, the hell with that.. i downshifted and floored the sucker.. it literally took me about 1-2 minutes to catch it.. i looked down and we were doing 131 mph... i about shat myself and slowed down... he pulled into a gas station, and i followed him in. I got out, and she.. yes, i said SHE!!! was laughing and just said.. "you didnt do to bad catching up".. i said "i have never... EVER seen a minivan move that fast. she said "yeah, there arent many turbo caravans left out there" i looked at her in disbelief, got in my car (friend was laughing even harder now) and we left.. i got home, looked up "turbo minivans" and sure enough, there is like a cult following on those things.. i never even knew that they existed..

I've been 140-150 twice, but I wasn't driving and had no choice in the matter.

As for SemperFigod, if it's not a bald face lie, I hope you think about other people and their lives next time you decide to do something stupid.

EDIT: Just because you're one of Uncle Sam's "Misguided" Children doesn't mean you have to act a fool on the highway...

That is if he gets caught.

My speeding tickets:
35 in a 25 (fined)
68 in a 55 (fined)
89 in a 65 (warning)

Highest fine was the damn 25mph zone.

Just because you're one of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children doesn't give you an excuse to act a fool on the highway... I'd think they would have found out about it if it were truth, and you'd be facing articles.
