alright all.... here we go. i have my wideband installed just a little bit ahead of the cat on the drivers side. it seems to be working alright, it takes like 20 seconds to warm up, then it reads about 10.4-10.9. when running it will jump up to 10.9 and a back down. at idle it will fluctuate between 10.4-10.6. that just seems crazy rich.... is it possible my sensor is messed or is the car just super fat?

If it's an Innovate LM1, you can recalibrate the sensor to free air and try again. If it's a faulty sensor, the LM1 will warn you something is wrong with it. If it's still 10:1, then maybe it really is that rich. At WOT, the AFR should be even richer.

If it's not a LM1, then might be a faulty sensor.

Is this at idle and normal driving or only at WOT. If it isn't only at WOT then the WB isn't reading correctly. You would be getting a check engine light if you were running that rich during open loop operation.

eh i do get the check engine light but its irregular, but when i run the predator on it alot of times it will say no codes found... when i clear them the light goes off. i have never gotten a rich code or anything. i mean its wierd because i think it is working, there is really no reason why not its basically brand new and the ratio does fluctuate, so its not like it is just sitting there. thing is i have never seen the thing jump above 11.1, no matter what the car is doing. any ideas? keep in mind the car does need tuned very badly, i have been trying to hold off until this summer when i can get to mph. mechanically everything should be fine, just the tune setup needs work.

alright ill do that today. if it makes a difference i have the plx set up from summit. i have no cats on the exhaust, but the sensor is maybe about 8-10inch or so in front of where the cat would be. i have the bassani mid lenths and it is maybe 6 or so inches down stream of the forward o2 sensors in the car. tonight i will pull it out and try it in the rear o2 bung.... is my placement ok? if my wiring is ok, is there a good way to tell if the sensor is bad? everything seemed fairly straightforward. although i am wondering.... the rectangular black box that came with it, there is a panel in the front that looks like it should light up to display something, but it doesnt. am i on to anything there?

I have the PLX also. If you don't have cats, then put it in the rear bung. If you have the one with the bosch sensor, I think there is some issues with it getting too hot, if placed in the front bung.

alright, ill try it, thanks. i am pretty sure it is the bosch sensor... does anyone make a good sensor i could use without the overheating issues? because mig welding is a pain in the ass and its a shame not to use it lol. the wiring all looks to be ok.
