I'm getting ready to strip the 88 GT I have, and set the motor up with a carb. For all of you who have converted a 5.0 EFI to a carb, what has been your favorite Aluminum intake manifold and carb?

well for strip use I'd go with the rpm gap or stealth.

Depending on the type of bottom end and heads maybe a vic jr.

i would definitely go with the stealth, it si about the best all around intake, god upper and mid and great low rpm performance

Edelbrock's older F4B, Ford's A321 or older C9OX, or the Shelby "Cobra" high rise.

Why would you lose the EFI? Thats the best part of the car!

Weiand Stealth is a good manifold. If you go Edelbrock I would spend the extra cash for the air gap, but if you're wanting to save a few dollars look into Professional Product's Crosswind intakes. Their EFI manifold outpowered the Twisted Flow counterpart in a MM&FF shootout if memory serves.

ebaymotors.com for one for a 351W. Or try Mustangs of Oklahoma ( think that's the right name) I was in their store a couple years ago and saw they had a couple of these on the shelf for the 351W. They're a little high on they're pricing but they have some good stuff in there.

Intake MAnifolds

On my old Mustang, I had an older "Torker", and a crane Fireball came, equivalent to the BOSS 302 specs. Bottom end was weak, but above 3000 RPM, hang on!!

Looking for something similar, but with operating range a bit lower
