Sooooooooo, what were your old rims?Thanks for all the compliments. Yeah, I'm really pleased with the way they fit in the fenders. It was a big deal for me to get this juuuust right due to the low stance. I'm not sure if Kevin (04Sleeper) is a member here, but he was a big help when I was sizing the wheels.
Here are the specs on the wheels/tires:
Front - 18x8, 5.25" backspacing, and what True Forged calls the "big brake cut" which offers the most positive offset(I don't recall this number) and smallest lip on the face of the wheel, tires are 245/40/18 Nitto NT05's. I'm also running a 94/95 spindle/13" Cobra brake setup.
Rear - 18x9, 6.25" backspacing, and what True Forged calls the "max pad cut" which means the mounting surface on the wheel is machined down to a minimum which offers the most lip on the face of the wheel, tires are 275/35/18 Nitto NT01's. I'm also running Fox length axles, NRC brackets, and V6/GT brakes so I can throw some 15" wheels and sticky tires at the track.
The NT01's seem to run wider than other 275's I've run before. I was surprised to see, what I consider to be, a fair amount of bulge in the rear tires. This puts the sidewall of the tire pretty close to the unrolled fender. So far, no rubbing, but it's too close and I WILL be rolling the fenders soon. As for fitting a 10" in the rear, I'd have to run a 7.25" backspacing, which I don't have room for. So I'd have to adjust the rear suspension up and the tire would end up flush with the outside of the fender, which is a look I don't prefer.
