hey y'all, been awhile since I posted been through a few cars and now have a '93 GT 5.0 - never had a 5.0 before, I have had three 4.6's....

I have two simple questions: hoping someone has some input/ideas...

I know the "cowl hood" subject has been discussed, I have seen a few threads, and I know some people feel they are too cliche or something, but I really like them... and something I should mention about myself, I like to do everything to the "extreme", such as if I were to lift a truck, it's be 14" lift, if I do loud exhaust, it's one chamber flowmasters with no cats... etc...

so sorry for the rambling, but what I am hoping to find is someone who has a pic of a car like mine with the following hood: (or similar size)
Harwood Cowl Hood

second question is how bad would a 6 point roll bar/cage look in a 'vert??????? I would like to have one for safety and looks...

thanks in advance for any input! here's a pic of my car, so this is what I'm working with!

cute....

ok, I figured I might get made fun of....
6" can't be that gigantic..... ? thats why I was hoping for a real pic of one....

basically, I like the really wild look... car's got loud pipes, flowmasters, headers... I figured I could look the way I sound by the cowl...

Nice 4 foot cowl

Ditch the blue cage, the red one is better.

before I get made fun of TOO much... perhaps I should have clarified my reasons, see I dont like spending money on something if it isnt noticable, such as people buying a 2" lift for a truck... why do it, it's barely noticeable, so why spend the money... I feel the same about something like a cowl, why get a 2", and have some people think the car came out that way.... I was hoping with a 6", it would be obviously custom....

you in the wrong feild of cars then...ricers do that ****...biggest wing that can find...in a FEW cases bigger ain't better!..like a cowl...2" will be fine and plenty noticeable to mustang guys...plus if your out to please other people with your car i think your stupid for it...

plus why put a 6" cowl on a stock car? will look stupid...and unless your like 6' 6"++ if will be hard to see infront of imo.

I understand what you mean.... I shows a pic of a fox with a 2" cowl to a friend, (granted he doesnt have a mustang) and he said he would have never know it wasnt stock until I told him.... I just wouldnt want to spend my money and have it go unnoticed....

and you are right, doing it to please others would be dumb..., in my opinion.... big cowls look good on fox body's, that's just my taste, I hate ricers, and I dont like big wings at all.... but I do LOVE the way this one looks: I could only hope my car look like this someday! - this is the "look" I like.... (I just bought my car as-is, and it will recieve a heap of mods.....)
I don't mean to sound like a dumb*** ricer!!!!! does this make any sense, or do i seem crazy?

the only reason you should put something like that on a car is if you have some giant-*** motor that requires the clearance. i personally think it looks ridiculous, even on that car (which is BAD***!!!), but i'm sure its necessary just by lookin at those rear tires....
DONT do it unless you're putting a monster under that thing.....

Dude do what you want, dont listed to ryan he is a dumbass 16 year old kid that just got his liscense. Its your money hell i think cowls look damn good on fox's. And i understand its just a stock motor but it would be a stock motor with a badass hood on it. Like i said its your money i say go for it, if someone is going to bash you because you dont have a stroked out 7billion cubic inch motor under the hood tell them to **** themselves and find a better way to spend their time

I agree with Ryan.

I personally wouldn't put anything on my car, just to bring attention to it.

Fock what other people will think of your car, there will always be people loving it and hating it, wether it be stock or modified.

If you like the looks of a 6 inch cowl, go for it. Just don't expect to be taken seriously by many fox body-people.
