Im going to be building a fiberglass enclosure in my 05 gt coupe in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone has attemped to do so in an 05+...Any ideas? I dont want to take up my whole truck or do the spare tire compartment, just an enclosure to hold 2 10's towards the back area of the trunk against the rear seat.

I wanna build something in the back of the trunk, not the sides. One enclosure for both subs and then somehow incorporate the amp in the middle of the subs. Im really confused about how much airspace I'll need and how to figure it out. I've got the fiberglass part down which im told is the hardest part so all i need to know is how to figure out airspace...Its for 2 10" kicker comps....Any ideas?

basically to figure out airspace, you need so break the box into shapes like cypinders, rectangles etc. and use the formula. Or get a 12X12X12 cardboard box and some packing peanuts and fill the box, then you know you have 1 cu. ft. Remeber that speaker will displace about .5 cu ft so add that to your measuremnt.

there isn't a 10" woofer out there that will displace .5 cubic feet. a VERY large 12 barely breaks .1 cubic feet.

definitely check with the manufacturer's specs, but around .05 is very safe.

Again, it depends on the woofer you use. I sell/use 10" subs that displace about up to .12 cu ft and the 12's displace up to .35 cu ft. I also take into account any bracing inside the enclosure. So thats what I go by.
