Does anyone know of someone who has a 83-86 used fiberglass cowl hood that they would sell? I need some clearance for my air cleaner assembly. Has to be in Saskatoon.

Did you try Todd from Prince Albert? 306-764-2246..I bought my cowl hood from him and was very pleased. He sells new hoods at a reasonable price, he also has bolt on cowls for stock hoods, and hoodscoops!

Just curious? What kind of E.T's are you pulling with your stang? And what are you reving at at 100kph with those 4.30's ?

Good luck finding something that works! Jim

The rpm calculator shows 2270rpm at 60mph. I have a 23 tooth speedo gear but it will still be reading a bit high. I want my buddy to bring his GPS with me in the car so I can see the true mph and rpm at 60mph. As far as performance I have ran it once since I slapped the charger on. Nothing is really tuned to great yet. Out of the hole easy in 2nd gear and shifting at 5 grand saw a 14.13@105mph on the g-tech. I had to shift into 5th gear before the quarter was done. That was with just a 9" K+N lid for a filter. Now I have a Boss 429 hood scoop and I can get a filter under the lid so that should be enough breathing. My first belt shreded when I tried to run the 1/4 so that is why I only ran to 5 grand. I will try again soon to about 5500 and see what happens. I may look for a diff with 3.55's or maybe 3.73's. If anyone knows of someone who wants to trade for mine with 4.30's I may be interested.

Hey, do you have a pic of your car with the new hood? That's what I was planning on doing for the same reason.
How'd it turn out for ya?
