My god while I'm not a big honda fan, I would definetly drive that to school. It's prolyl gonna get beat to hell anyway. Let the honda take the door dings for the team. For 1k thats a good deal for a dd thats peppy. Just drive the crap out of it, leave it alone, and enjoy the gas mileage. If anyone wants to call you a ricer punk, you got a nice fox sittin in your garage at home ready to hand the morons ass on a platter. Thats what it seems like what your lookin for, go for it. Hell I drive a turd brown 79 cj7 to school and back and it does worse on gas than the stang does. But that thing is narrow, turns on a dime at parking lot speeds, and is fun to drive. Does it look good? No, it's turd brown but I really don't care. If some moron wants to run their mouth, the stang can shut em up back home.

How much is cheap? I wouldn't pay more than $50 for that POS. That POS has to be hands down the most popular amoung ricers in my area. I laugh every time I see those punks "showing off" in their car . If you want that image by all means go for it but please sell your stang before you get it and remember: No civic is complete without a fart can and a body kit. BTW I commute to school every day in my stang (60 miles round trip) and I fill up every 2 days.... well worth it.

I couldn't of said it any better. I always drive my Mustang V6 in bad winter weather and it handles superbly with the complete set of Blizzak WS-50 snow tires that I have on it.
That POS "is" the most popular among ricers my area too. I always see ricers in my area driving that type of Civic who like to wear baggy pants and who also have the I.Q of a pigeon.

You're making a wise move man. Don't listen to these guys on here, there is no shame in driving a Honda as a daily driver and taking the beating in place of the Stang. You will thank yourself for it later.
