Well I just got done swapping the explorer engine into the stang. Runs great. Started right up first try and only had to slightly adjust the timing. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who took the time to answer all my questions. It made things much easier.

What kind of car do you have (v6, GT, Cobra)? Also, did you just put in a stock explorer 5.0 with GT-40 stuff, or did you change some things?
More info. please. :) and congrats on starting up on the 1st try!

Well it's a 95 GTS dressed out like a 98 cobra for starters. Money is kinda tight right now since i'm paying off 7 years of college so I was on a budget for my swap. It's a basic 96 explorer 5.0 with a cobra upper, 70 mm throttle body, ditched the smog and egr (no check engine lights yet). Still using the factory headers cuz the 79-93 macs I had wouldn't fit without taking a hammer to the strut tower and I just didn't have the heart for that. Sounds really good with the mac O/R H pipe and flowmaster three chambers. The cops at the road block I got stopped at St. Patty's day were asking me all kinds of questions about the exhuast and had me keep reving the engine up.
