Thankyou, lol im not to good at cutting and welding yet. Just shaping and straightening right now. But i need to decide on a hood. I was thinking about a 2000 cobra r hood but im not to sure i'd wantto keep the 2 tone with that hood.

Looking good! I'm assuming you're painting in the garage there? What kind of gun are you using? I am kicking around the idea of trying my hand at mild body work/paint on my fox this winter since the paint is in poor shape anyways.

Thanks, yeah its a garage job. I used a harbor frate gun that was around 20 dollars. And a small compressor. Its all the same stuff. Just the more expensive guns have more adjustments and limit overspray mainly. You dont need an expensive gun for a good paintjob. You just need to ensure the area your spraying is prepped the right way and the temperature is right. Only minus is the clear. You'd need to use a fast or medium hardner with it to help it dry quicker. But thats about it. I wouldnt advise painting in the winter. Colder temps make it harder for the clear to cure the right way. Plus u need to use the sun to bake.

If its minimal body work you can get it done with ease. Took me about a week and a half to get this done. And i had some body work and clear peeling that i had to d/a to metal thats the reason the hatch was primed in some spots.

How come you didnt take the time to remove the quarter windows, door handles and moldings? Doing that makes for a much nicer paint job in the end. What are you doing for the ground effects? And did you paint over the old double sided tape where the Ford emblem was on the hatch and where the 5.0 emblems were?

nah im selling it next week, i need the money for my kid. i have no time to do all that like i mentioned at the beginning of my previous thread its just a quick job. U cant even tell the quarter windows werent taken out it looks great and the badge i got most of the glue off but their was still some left. i wasnt worried about it because their just gonna get new badges anyway it'll cover.

Its going back to stock. I just got a lot of body work to do on the ground effects its going to be that same color silver but just cleared..

Trust me theirs nothing more i hate then a sloppy job. But im not in my element, this is at my friends garage and i am crunched for time.

ah I see, yea there's nothin worse than doing stuff in an environment you're not used to. Good way to make a quick sell by painting it real quick.

Gotta do what u gotta do. im very suprised it came out as good as it did. U can probably tell from the pics their isnt much room to walk around with the car in that garage. I had to press my back against the wall to spray the sides of the car.
