Really nice choice for a first car and I'm partial to the redfire color as well. Mines the Gt 05, Redfire. Your son is a lucky boy. Congrats!

I've been perusing the forums here and there. Not a lot available in the form of performance bolt-ons if the intention is keeping the car n/a for now. Full exhaust, CAI/Inlet/Filter/TB, and a tune are pretty much the extent of it.

Some ppl have been under estimating the 4.0. with a tune and exhaust she will become quite a beast.

Nice looking car there Uncle Meat. My '00 GT was Laser Red(similar color) and I loved it, but had to go with the Vista Blue this time around...I currently have a red Jetta and red Suzuki Bandit motorcycle. I know these newer V6's are just about as strong as the earlier 5.0's were stock.

I too wish I could afford to do that. Alas, I am a poor university professor. I'm jealous and wish I could do that for my child and also have a Cobra in the garage.
Your son is lucky. I hope he appreciates what he has and realizes many are not as fortunate.

I drill that into is head almost on a daily basis. Even so, when kids are this age most truly don't recognize how fortunate they are. I think only with age comes the true understanding of the levity of the situation. I only hope some day he too will have the opportunity to give his son a nice ride for HS.

My son thinks he is lucky because we ride dirt bikes, he has a 1 year old bike now, and will get another this coming year. I do, because I can. My Mother could not for me... I am happy I can. Nothing wrong with it as long as values are taught along side the giving.

Very cool car, very cool dad... Enjoy both the son, and the Mustangs

Based on the small sticker at the bottom of the driver's side of the windshield in the first pic of the new car, and the color of the stripe along the bottom edge of that sticker, he earned every damn bit of all of what he's got!!!

I am much more concerned about the picture of the corvette hanging on the wall of his garage....

Don't get too riled... just a clock is all... Won it at a drag race raffle years ago.
