I finally got it in the mail today.
I have a few questions about the wiring:

There are 3 wires coming out....black/red, black/yellow and black.
I'm guessing black is ground.

What I'm wanting to do is just use a manual switch right next to the driver.
No fancy thermometer since I won't be driving the stang very often.

How should I wire the switch?
Which cable is what?Did a search but didn't find anything.

Also, I'm gonna order a 3G alternator.
Is the 130 amp sufficient?

Thanks
Patrick

Patrick, a 130 amp alt should be sufficient (technically a stocker can be enough when using low speed). If a higher output is an option for not much more money, it could be worth it (I paid 10 bucks more for 40 extra amps).

I would want to use a Bosch 75 amp relay for the fan, and use the manual switch on the control side (coil) of the relay.

Good luck bud.

Where did you get the 170 amp alt?

I've been looking at the ones at 50resto and it goes from 130 to 200.
The 200 amp costs about $80 more....which to me isn't worth it.

I went with an Alterstart. I paid 135 for a 170 amper (75 amps at idle, reportedly). Seems to work fine for me. It was 150 to the door and included a stator wire and top mounting bolt.

If you search my old 'threads started' I had a two page doozy evaluating all different options (parts store alts, etc). There were a lot of good opinions posted by the fine folks here, on that thread.

Good luck.
