ok i finnally have extra cash for exhaust. i already have the borla catback side exhaust. what mid pipe sounds good with borla? i was thinking bassani x but i dont want it to sound to raspy like what ive read on these forums. whats are some other alternatives? should i get an H or an X? i heard H sounds better but also depends on mufflers. so what matches with Borla?

Bassani X would sound nice I think. Another good alternative is the DR. Gas X pipe, This will get you the best sound with the best power.

where can i get a DR. Gas X pipe and how much does it cost? also i was thinking of buying a off road x-pipe no cats. does it cost a lot to get cats added to it? or should i spend the extra 150 and get it already installed? i just did smog and have 2 years just wanted to know if it can be added without a problem and doesnt cost more?

I would personally go with the MRT H, I've heard SOOOO many great things about the MRT line of mid pipes. I've also been told they are a perfect compliment to the Borla CB's

A little expensive, but it's pretty much an unbeatable setup IMO

I just put the SLP Offroad X-pipe and LoudMouth exhaust on my car... the X-pipe makes the exhaust note sound very crackled..almost ricey. I installed an H on my brother in laws 01 GT... like the sound better. FYI... anyone thinking of installing the SLP Loudmouth w/an off road pipe, believe the other posts about how loud it is! Had to buy the LM2 mufflers to tone it down a bit. I have heard the Borla... nice sound, mellow tone. Good luck with your search for the midpipe.

how do the LM2's sound compared the the LM1's? i got the catted x w/lm1. its loud, as advertised, but a hair too raspy, thinking about the LM2's. i still want loud as hell, just tone down the rasp a hair, and add a bit more rumble. i can only imagine how raspy the o/r x sounds.

Borla.. ugh.. every time I hear that name, I think of the road race I went to featuring the allmighty Quad-4 Beretta GTU's, all with Borla exhaust, fart-canning by at 80mph.

H-Pipes are way to load, and with the side exhaust you will never hear anything other than the painful thump in your ears.
