Metra Harness 70-5519 correct? (02 GT with 460 6-disc crapomatic changer)

gettind a decent 150-200$ alpine deck that plays mp3-cd's that has satellite input (dont think any players out there dont have that standard nowadays)

what size are the front door speakers, they are also blown so im thinking about replacing them as well. will standard speakers work or do i need components or what?

yeah i havent really minded, my Tool 10,000 days CD is having trouble playing because since its been released its the only disc in the changer that gets played. takes me the entire "Blame Hoffman" to the end of "Rosetta Stoned" to get to work and back, so i dont listen to much else, but now that the cd is dying, its time to move on.

strangely my other music is trance/techno/house which i have an entire mp3 cd in my GSX i play through. but soon the GSX is going under the knife (fuel system revamp, turbo swap, fmic, dsmlink, the works) so i will be driving the GT full time.

Instead of starting a new thread I'll ask in here. Is there a site anyone knows of that sells the parts I need to replace the drivers and passenger side Mach speakers that sit right next to the rear view mirrors? I don't want those there when I switch to a different head unit.

you can make any standard size tweeter fit in there, differant mounts but most are the same size 1.5" i believe or 2"

whats everybody running for component setups in lieu of their mach system?

i think instead of dealing with the mach stuff, im just gonna go with seperate components up front and 2 or 3 way 5x7 in the rear and just rewire everything, which IMO isnt that hard. id probably leave the mach rear amp rack and speaker box in place and just splice into the harness going into the mach deck for the new deck wiring. and no, not cut the entire mach harness off, just use vampire clips or something.

I just replaced my system last week... I went with soundstream 6x8's (3 ways)front and rear, as well as 1 10" sub and 1 4channel amp to run the 6x8's and 1 2channel amp to run the sub. All the wiring was gutted. I did reuse the large deck thing but removed everything else... it was easier then I thought it would be...
