sry if some stuff is obvious, but im copying this from a non-mustang board..

so after i found out one of my stock speakers were blown, and one wasnt working to begin with, i decided to replace my speakers. Unfortunatly i have the mach audio system, with 2 amps that like to use 3 ohm, so if i had to replace one with somethihng other than OEM, it would be ****ed up. So i ripped out the entire stock sound system, wires and all, ran new everything. i used 6x8 type s's all around but this left me with almost no bass, since i removed the stock amps. soooo.. i went ahead and bought two 10" eclipses rated @ 200 watts rms each (nothing big n fancy) and an A4004V for an amp. i also made a snazzy fiberglass box that turned out pretty well, except for the fact that i made the sub openings too big. to fix this i just used bondo to fill in the gap. overall the box took a long time, I ended up doing about 5 layers of it. the whole thing is nearly complete, with just a few things left. i plan to make some fiberglass panals that i can velcro to the side of the box, and side of my trunk so the box will look like its a whole piece, embedded in my trunk, instead of a box just sitting there. I also want to make some rings to cover the screws on the sub (not sure how to do it yet) other than that, my amp may be defective (1 channel doesnt want to work) rendering one sub useless at the time. let me know what you think, whole thing cost about $350 (everything)

That's a coincedence! I'm making an almost indentical box for a 2003 Mach 1 right now.

Finished job came out looking really nice, good job.

I'll see if I have any pics of my project, you'll see how similar they are.
