Finished the install...

...last night I finished the mongoose install. I was extremely pleased that the car started on the first try...I was worried....anyways....it seems that the car idles pretty rough right now...I've been told to give it a while so that's what I'm gonna do. During normal driving there's not a noticeable difference in power, but I do hear the slight whistle every now and then coming from the Vortech SQ.

Are there any things that I should be looking for as far as hoses, tubes that are proned to leaking? I have no oil/radiator leaks as of yet, so that's good. I am afraid that the seal isn't very good around the IAT on the discharge of the supercharger. Would this cause huge problems/power loss. I'm afraid to get on the throttle too much until the idle cleans up. I will post pics within the next couple of days....i put on new badges, and waxed the car while it was in the garage during the install.:D

NEGATIVE. If you got a mongoose kit, you don't need a dyno tune. you just need to run it on the dyno to check your a/f to make sure your not running lean. Chances arer, your tune is gonna be dead on. The idle problem should go away, and you'll notice that it idles slightly higher than it used to when stock. If you experience any surging while driving, it means you probably need to upgrade the BPV barring any leaks in your plumbing.-- most people upgrade to the mini race BPV.

Mossberg beat me to it...

tune was loaded on SCT....install was definately not the easiest thing I've ever done....but I'm nowhere near a mechanic....the worst part was coming up with all of the tools I needed....nothing major, but I barely have hand tools
The idle was still pretty rough on the ride home today...it hangs for a good bit...but it did the same thing when I first installed the 75mmTB and plenum...I don't expect it to be fixed for a couple of weeks....it'll probably gradually go away until I don't notice it at all....then I will get the A/F tested, and get some gauges
