Just wondering if anybody has used anything like this

http://www.thermotec.com/product_detail.php?prd_id=12

http://store.summitracing.com/egnse...5+4294845354+400356+4294787325+115+4294844843

They claim it can keep out 90% of radiant heat up to 2000*. I have some lines that run near my headers and right now I have the regular fire sleeve on it but they are still getting quite warm. I looking into this as it sounds like a much better insulator.

I use a similar product with not quite as much protection as their claming for my fuel lines and hydraulic clutch lines in a couple of areas. I've found the reflective ones to be better than most mesh ones. However it depends on the use.

If you don't mind orange, you could run the real fire sleeve. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/aqfiresleeve.php
