Once I stripped, cleaned, and reinstalled an interior in the street. It was tough, but I got it done. You'll have an easier time in a parking lot.

Thanks everyone, I know I can do it. I haven't gotten much done yet except for getting the interior out to get the 10 point welded in, I want to sort through all the wiring back there to get rid of as much as possible while it's apart as well. I'll post pictures some time this weekend.

I'm going to have a transmission specialist I know build a c4 for it. And I don't have any idea how long this will take, all I know is it will never be "finished"

An alternative to building the car in your parking lot would be to rent a self store unit big enough to hold the car & all the parts, tools and other "stuff" you'll be using. No complaints from the neighbors, everything is dry and out of the weather and no one is likely to steal your parts or tools. When the weather is nice, roll up the door and have at it. When it is cold or rainy, leave the door down and use a fan or heater to make things more comfy.

The two disadvantages of a rental self store unit are the distance from your front door to work on the car, and the cost of the storage unit. Sometimes the time involved for a trip to and from your storage unit may be enough to slow down your progress.

For the peace of mind and security of your car, tools and parts, the rental self store unit is an over all winner.

I'm going to SERIOUSLY look into this one. I only work on the car on the weekends because I work full time, so that idea would work perfectly for me. But I didn't know you were allowed to work on cars at storage facilities, I'll call around and see what they say! Thanks for the idea!

As for my weekly update: We've gotten pretty much the whole interior out of the car and I'm ready to start cleaning it up and sorting through the behind the dash wiring (this will be fun ) before getting the cage welded up. We've also started taking down the engine bay in hopes of pulling the motor soon to get all of the scott rod panels welded in

Late response. But I'm going to get the cage in, then through the floor sub frame connectors, then full suspension and braking. The usual building of the foundation before tossing a powerplant in. Good luck to you too man!

I would do the sub-frame connectors first. Then connect the roll cage main hoop to the sub-frame. It will make a much stiffer chassis

That was my plan! I'm planning on using Wolfe Race Craft connectors, and a pre bent cage. I'm going to have a shop install that stuff though, I don't trust my own welding on something like that

You should get a labor quote for them to install the wolfe stuff, and a price to just do a custom cage. I bet it will be cheaper or around the same price to do a custom cage, and you will be able to have them make the cage taylored to you.
