Well I just got home from my first true Cobra experience. I got to take it on a 50 mile drive back to my house from where my dad is staying. I got to experience an assortment of curvy back roads and straight highway driving. As this being my first time driving an 03 cobra and being able to open her, I am quite impressed to say the least. Besides the fact that its amazing from factory, my roommate is a tuner for SuperChips so I had an opportunity to flash it with a performance tune for free.

I truly cannot wait to graduate and take ownership of this beautiful car!!!

Do you have a hand held tuner? Are you using the same tuner you used in your 2000 GT? If so your tuner is "locked" to the 2000GT and will need to be unlocked so you can use it on the 2004. You may have to ship it back to Superchips to have it unlocked. It should work in your 2004. Someone else my know better than me. Pearl02.

Best bet is to contact SuperChips and talk to costumer service. They will direct you if you need to send in your tuner, download an update [if it is a that supports online updates], or it may just be time to buy a new tuner.

edit: Oh and the new Cortex tuners are bad arse. You can log 0-40 0-50 0-60 0-70 times along with 1/4 mile times on the tuner. while driving you can watch your fuel trims, timing, engine and air temps, and i believe you can data log them as well. I found them fun. The gt did a 5.74 0-60 on schitty tires and engine with bad rings. the cobra did a 5.04 but traction control was pulling timing and i could not get a good run.

I got my 04 December 26th and it killed to to drive it home, then never again til around this March. The weather was horrible on the way home, so I couldn't get on it.

It was worth the wait, you'll love the car.
