Another excuse they throw out there. Refining capacity has nothing to do with it because todays plants are more efficient than they were 20-30 years ago. There is the largest surplus in 14 years now but prices still go up. The real reason is profit taking by commodities investors.The biggest reason for high gas prices has to do with our lack of refining capacity. A new refinery has not been built in the US since 1976, and our demand for gasoline is increasing faster than we can produce it.
I think they should bring back a 5.0 LX. Offer a base V6 and stuff a 302 mod motor in it (with maybe 350HP) and 3.73's or 4.10's out back. No fancy badging either
Yup, take away all the standard options and offer us a stripped down V8 model for less than $25K.
No A/C, no defrost, no ABS/TC roll up windows, cloth seats, basic radio. Strip it way down, stick some 3.73's in the rear and give it at least 325HP like the bullitt and shelby GT and offer it for under $25K

Its not like they are going to get rid of the V8 Mustang.
An SVO-like 4 banger would have alot of potential.
Nothing wrong with having options on the build sheet to a new Stang. Hell, id love to see something like this.
