The 2012 SEMA show in Las Vegas at full throttle today, and Ford has come out guns blazing, with their show-stopping Mustang Cobra Jet concept. Based upon the 2013 Mustang Cobra Jet, this one-of-a-kind race car is 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 beast. The technology behind this monstrous concept? You guessed it–EcoBoost…the very sort similar to the tech found beneath the hood of the Focus ST.
Big deal, right? We’ve seen boosted Ford Mustang variations time and again, but now, this twin-turbo Mustang Cobra Jet concept leads and leans strongly to us seeing a production forced-induction (say that 3 times, fast) Ford Mustang soon, based upon this EcoBoost tech.
