Well, I made my first few blasts down the 1/8th mile in a 5 spd! First run; I bogged pretty bad and missed 3rd so i let out...a couple runs later i netted my best of the [email protected] mph with a 2.11 60'. I KNOW there's more in it, considering there was about 80% humidity, and it was about 80* out. I think when I get used to this new shifter it can go around 9.0-9.2's.
BTW: car is BONE stock with the exception of a Tri-Ax shifter (2003 GT).

Get some DR's and drop that 60 time some more and you could see those 9.0 times no problem.

I think that is a good time for a stck GT first time out!

I think DR's are not a good idea for a stock GT. What is the point? You could drop .2 tenths in your 60 foot just with practice and letting some air out of the back. On a stock GT DR's do nothing more than make the car a bit more forgiving on launch and a little more consistent.

Drop your tire pressure to 18 - 20 psi in the back, and raise the pressure in front to 45 psi and 1.8x can be attained especially if you are already getting 2.1's. My first time at the track I nailed five 2.0's in a row on cheap ass Kuhmos.

Now, when I spray, with 350+ rwhp, DR's would be useful.

I ran a 9.15 <--best run with mods of: bbk offroad xpipe and flowmasters....didn't have the cai on when I ran that time...but I'm sure it doesn't help much. About to put a 100shot of nx on my car along with some DR's for the track when it re-opens in feb 2005. What times do u think i'll see with a 100shot of nx + some dr's...? low 8's?
