i managed a measly 14.4 @99. 2.5 60' with my mods in sig. i think i am running horribly rich. this was on crappy kelly charger hpt tires. i was hoping for AT LEAST 13's. weather was even pretty cool out.

anyway. tires are on the way and the boost gauge is getting hooked up today so see if my belt is slipping.

Tires are a MUST. That 60ft is horrible. You'll be in the 13's for sure once you hook. Still think that mph is a little low though..

with some good sticky tires and a tune you'll easily pull that. Work on that 60 ft. and try to be consitent with your launches.

As you probly know, your 60' suxs.. On street tires, spinning is not the best. It's best to ease into the throttle instead of roasting the tires. The MPH does seem low also.
Just need more practice & sticky tires & you'll be in the 13's easy.
My little Powerdyne in the Cobra went 13.035 & 107 mph

As mentioned, the 60' needs work. The first 60 feet are the most critical part of the run. So important, that a general rule is that every .1 dropped in the first 60, is worth .2 at the end. So, for example -- if you took your 2.5 60' time and got some sticky tires and ran a 1.8 instead -- that would take your 14.4 to a 13.0 approximately. And then you can tune the car.

You cannot make any real judgement on a run that started with a 2.5 60ft, 2.5 is HORRIBLE, your car has ALOT more in it. 5.0+Boost+Street tires is not a good combo, keep working on it.

My main surprise was to see <100mph with forced induction. Most of the times, you will see HORRIBLE 60's with blowers/turbos/nos, but better than "normal" mph in the end.

Usually MPH is a general indication of the capabilities or power of the car. In this case, because the 60' was so bad, MPH was killed. Once the car sticks, it'll pull a higher MPH.

Mike

I wanna tell you something that might make you feel a bit better.

Very few peeps get results that meet their expectations from their first visit to the 1/4 mile strip.

First time out, you don't have any idea of whats goin on so you just have to chalk it up as a learning experience.

All the advice thats been given to you is good and all but ...............

I assure you, you could change NO parts at all and do nothing but go a few times more and you'd start to see how to change your driving methods and those ET's would fall without a doubt.

IMHO, everythings cool and with some sticky tires and a bit of practice, not only will you meet your expectations...........

You'll be "blown" past them

Later

True, but I would still expect to see more than 99 MPH, even with a 2.5 60'. But....what do I know....I never been to the track.

I was just throwing that comment up for laughs...

Seriously, my schedule, the distance, and the time our closest track has "open running" makes it very difficult for me to get there.
