first time engine swap, cant figure out clutch cable

This is my first time swapping a mustang engine, I have 89 GT and swapping in another 302. I have everything loose and undone, except i cant figure out how to undo the clutch cable. Please help me. Thanks

youre going to have to depress the clutch fork using a pry bar or something and than just slide it through the hole in the fork

is this located under the dust cover? I looked at the haynes manual and it talked about removing it from the quadrant, not the fork. I couldnt get anywhere trying it their way, ill try taking it off from the other side like you said. Thanks

yeah, remove the dust cover and its connected to the clutch fork. its pretty self explanatory once you see it

Take off the dust cover, loosen the two adjusting nuts on the clutch cable, then pull the slack cable at the quadrant end and slip the cable off the quadrant.
