i searched and found the thread with everyone's input on how they did or think the five lug swap should be done but there is a lot of info out there and i wanted to clarify a couple things. As of now the car i am rebuilding already had the cheap swap done with the linc rotors up front but i am limited to wheel choices so if i get the 94-95 spindles, hubs, rotors, calipers and hoses can i stick with my drums out back and a stock fox master cylinder? the guys a mm told me no physically everything would bolt up but the cars brakes wouldn't be any better than before and i can't run anything bigger than a 7.5 width rim or it will rub so are running stock bullitt wheels out if the question and will this brake setup even work? thanks for the help guys!

Yes, you can run the 17X8s up front. I do and a lot of others do. You may or may not have a little bit of rubbing at full turn depending on your car.

Yes you can use the stock MC if you keep drums on the back. Yoinwill also need to install a steering rack limiter to keep from rubbing. Very simple to do.

You can do a 5-lug FOX style conversion with 5 lug drums out back for $399. You can keep your current booster and master cylinder. You can find the conversion cheaper at a salvage yard, etc. I prefer to buy new though.

They also have the 5-lug conversion / rim & tire package shipped starting at $1,399.

He's right about the brakes being pretty much the same.

10.8" rotor now, 10.8" rotor after the swap.

And 60mm to 66mm calipers.

BUT...you can always upgrade later to cobra or 99-04 GT

I had the same issues youre facing... Here's what I did, and just finished last week btw,...

Front spindles, 02 mustang -- yes they increase width but they sit right at the fender lip on my 93.
Front Ball joints- 02 Moog -- No washers needed!
Energy Suspension offset rack bushings
Ford Racing "B" springs
calipers --02 mustang PBR dual piston
Rotors- 02 mustang
hoses- 02 mustang They DO not both fit to stock fox lines adapters needed.
Booster -- 95 mustang
Master cylinder --95 mustang
Drums-- Ranger 5 lug
Rear axles -- superior race fox body 5 lug axles
proportioning valve-- adjustable Ford Racing (did this because my stock one wouldn't stop leaking)
Steel brake lines-- store bought lines i bent myself to replace both front completely
Stoplight switch-- 95 mustang (the plug is side facing which prevents it from hitting the brace behind dashboard)
a few brake adapters, a T fitting for front calipers, and brake fluid
Last part I used... a MityVac MV8000 i bought at work (Oreillys ) help a TON on bleeding since I changed almost all my steel lines

The wheels I'm using, 18x9 and 18x10 hypercoated FR500's

This whole thing started because after putting in the 02 brakes, and using the stock MC and booster, my car stopped WORSE than it did stock. Very soft pedal, and stopping on emergency was dangerous.

Now, my pedal is a bit on the firm side but I prefer it that way. It's harder than stock fox, but this baby stops on a dime now. I maaay go to rear disc later down the line but it works very well now so we'll see. At least I;m prepped for it with the SN mc and booster. Also, the booster required that I beat the hell of the strut tower with a BFH to get it in there.
