Fixed car.....pics

Well, I finally replaced the clutch cable yesterday. Here's a pic of the broken one. Looks like the casing melted, but I don't know how it got so screwed up.

Also, while working on it, it was leaking PS fluid and I found this little fitting in a pool of it. Any ideas? sorry for the crappy focus.

wow man...that is why you gotta keep the cable away from the hot pipe things.

that fitting doesnt look like anything that is on the car, that was probably there.

sure it wasn't resting against your header or something? Happened to me once before as well in my old car

Naw, it wasn't against the header. It lasted almost 3k miles. I'm pretty sure the engine compartment and headers just got really hot while I was trying to show this guy to drive it around a parking lot at low speed, then it went. I made sure to bend the bracket a little so that it was farther away though.

I'm thinking that putting some type of heat shielding on it would be a good idea.
