Fixin loose steering....please read this...help!

I am about to embark on the play in my steering wheel on my 1994 5.0 5 speed with 123000 miles on her. Daily driver so it needs to be a one day project. Reading all the threads on this site and another one...The rag joint seems to be the main culprete. So, What rag joint rebuild kit is needed for my year, any specs....please, any advise is truly appreciated. Monterey CA.

Buy a solid shaft sometimes the slip joint also comes loose.

That was it, the part that telescopes just below the knuckle and above the rag joint was as sloopy as ....well something......probably just gonna weld it.

I welded mine!!! Works perfect!!!

Yea I'm doing the same to mine.

It's unanumouse, weld away...Or I supoose we could take it off the car, put it in a vise...air hammer the channels down tight, re-install,,,,whew......I'll take the risk and weld it.....should take around 30 seconds at the most.
