Fixing A/C

Just picked up a '94 GT and Im trying to figure out the best place to start on trying to fix the A/C. As of now it blows warm AND has a heavy coolant smell. Where do I start?

does compressor come on??

check electrical switches, check ground on compressor

check freon?? with gauges

Might be a busted heater core if you are smelling coolant.

i need to have my eyes checked. didn't see the coolant part.

as wes said, check heater core first.

And if the compressor does engage (be it by itself, or with your assistance via jumping the LPCS), let us know what kind of low and high side pressure you're seeing.
