I just bought my 88 gt and when i bought it the odometer read about 99k. Its been about a month since ive had the car and the only driving i have done is a trip from TX to San Diego (one way) and then just short city trips. Suddenly, im at 558376miles. My trip doesnt work either but everything else is working great. I havent changed the gears and neither has the previous owner. What could be the problem and how can i fix it (im short on cash)?
Thanks!!!

ps- tried the search but couldnt find what i was looking for.

Is it just me, or do the '87-89 odometers(I dont know about later ones) only go up to 99,999 miles? If the trip doesnt work either, then it sounds like something broke in your speedometer.

Look Its Aaron

Your car looks like it came straight from Mexico.

I think he means he has 55,837 miles and the 6 should be .6 of a mile
