Fixing up small rust spot help.

If you got overspray on windows you can use really fine steel wool pads on it.

to get off overspray...

1) get 2000 grit wet sand paper, and go over all of the oversprayed areas, should take no longer than a half a minute on each over spray spot....

2) Get a buffer, and buff with a light compound, and the overspray is gone!!

To get rid of line...

1) When you prime something, it is given that you donot just paint over the primer, you must wet sand the primer prior to paint job as well. Get a peice of Wet 400 grit paper, and wet sand the entire primed area and concentrate on the tape line, you will notice it "feather" out. You will not be able to feel it anymore, and you're ready to go.

note: Since you did not do any body work there, you are not forced to use a hard block when wet sanding, because you are not trying to make it flat, it is already flat, but in case you feel you "need" it to be "perfect", use a hard block for "yourself" but it is not neccessary.

PS. if the rust was only on the surface, you probably could have sanded it off w/ 2000 and buffed it w/o using any primer at all lol. hope it was bad enough to use primer, ( i know it was after u used 220 grit!) because if it was as slight as you made it seem, you kin dof just wasted a little bit of time, and added a primer color to the car.!

A clay block from mothers or meguiars will remove overspray. Just get the spot wet and run the block over it.

a brick will get the over spray off the window
