I wanted to know why i should spend the extra money on an Hp when the other may do as well?

For what engine application would a Hp be warranted?

My application is a 347 with about 450 horses.....

so basically you are asking if you should spend an extra 10 bucks on the filtering of your oil to assure your 5-10g investment in your engine will be safe? I think for the amount you do oil changes get the best filter.

It probably filters out smaller micron particles than the 1A and might have an anti-drain back valve or something.

WIX nascar uses it get a magnet drainplug i just use FL1A 3 months later i throw it away HP might be warrantied if you had a brand new GT-40 and the motor blew up and filtration was the cause or lack of..Ford warranties there engines with just FL1A for that matter.

Wix racing or K&N oil filters are excellent.

Some engines build more oil pressure than others. The HP is for those that build more. I've had an oil filter blow right apart before.
