I'm buying a Flowmaster Catback system from my buddy with 50 Series Delta Flows (42553), the tips are stainless steel, really nice. I have a 95 GT Coupe.
I have 2 questions:

First, has anyone had a problem installing a setup like this because the Flows are 2 1/2" pipes In and Out, and the stock H-Pipe I have on is 2 1/4".

Second, any opinions on how the 50 Series sound.

If anyone knows of a website that can help me with the install, please copy and paste.

I'll wait to hear back from yous.

they should fit fine on the stock h

in stall is straight foward

some times kits have diff hangers and locations.

lay it out and look at them, maybe spray some penetrating fluid on some areas if they r rusted

maybe some ramps on one end and jack stands on the other for extra room

sound is always an opinion, but i would by 40 series over the 50

im sure the 50 wont sound bad though

these days i would pay a GOOD PLACE a couple of bucks to do it

i've got the american thunder catback kit.fits great and installs with ease.the rest of my exhaust system is factory stock.this kit has the super 44 mufflers, sounds great.the kit number is 17212.heres a link to download the install PDF for this kit.

http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/products/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3872

i searched for your kit number but could not find it.what year car is the kit from?i think the 98 and later mustangs have differant exhaust hanger locations than the 94 -97's.

I've run both the Delta 40 and Delta 50 on my car. Personally I prefer the Delta 50 series that I have on now. They are virtually the same as the 40's at WOT, but a very small amount quieter at idle and anywhere up to half throttle. Neither of them will sound stock by any means. But you can avoid some drone with the 50's.

Thanks for the replies people, sorry about any confusion, the part #'s are as follow for my 95 GT:

Catback Sytem is 17214 ($488 at Summitracing)
Mufflers are 42553 (2 1/2" 50 Series)

For $150, I'm not complaining and as long as they are louder than stock, that's fine with me.

My only concern was the mating of the 2 1/4" stock H-Pipe with the 2 1/2" Catback system. I was under the car yesterday and noticed that the mating surfaces are flanged, meaning there is some play in the dimensions, so 1/4" larger should be no prob.
Again, thanks for the feedback.

Quality wise magnaflow is better. it's better built using stainless steel. Flowmasters rust too quick. if you build and sell parts you should know that already.

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
