Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-back

I would have gotten Flowmaster if it wasn't for their nasty drone, and fact it'll rust!

one thing I can not understand is on an 03 you have stainless exhaust. if you switch to flowmaster you replace a stainles with alumized. I will never really understand this. I would just get stainless flows and weld them in even if I like flows.

Wow, talk about waking up an old thread. I originally made this post in October of 2004!!

Anyway, i did go with the Flowmaster cat-back and it sounds great.

As for the rusting issue? There is none at all. Almost 1.5 years later not a speck of surface rust anywhere and it still is the same aluminized finish as when i installed it. The Flowmaster cat-back on my 5.0 is 3 years old...and same thing. No rust at all.

I don't understand the rusting issue...because i'm not seeing it.


I ended up selling the stock cat-back to someone for $50
