Picked up an 04 GT Friday. Put the Super 40 series on today. What is the opinion of the forum on these? I've noticed the drone isn't so bad in the cabin but is the sound coming out the rear as good as the A Thunder? Just looking for your thoughts on the comparison

I'm thinking I should have gotten the A Thunder 40 rather than the Super 40. Prove me wrong on that one. :D

Thanks!!!!!

If you look at the cutaways of the super 40s and the delta ...youll see that they are real similar, but not the same. Super 40s are supposed to be their best mufflers yet, but they don't have the classic flowmaster sound ...i've heard them and they sound really good though...different than the usual ...I'd buy them if they werent as expensive as they are

Steve,

thanks for the response. Thats the descriptive answer I was looking for. They do sound deeper than my flows on the other mustangs I've owned. Doesn't have the raspy sound but with an Off road H pipe I should be satisfied with the Super 40's. :nice:

Thanks.

If you look at the part #'s on the mufflers that come with the American Thunder Cat-Back you will notice that they are the same as the Super 40 mufflers.

Therefore, the A/T already comes with the Super 40's.

This is an old topic.

Old topic?

The super 40's just came out. But I do appreciate the information on the part numbers...... Based on what you are saying they are basically the American Thunder 40's with less interior resonance.

Thanks. :flag:
