Any tips on how to torque flywheel (75 to 85 lbs) properly. In the past it's been difficult for me to properly torque a flywheel since the crank turns as I tighten...... thanks for any tips...... Norm
I've always had luck grabbing the flywheel with my left arm, and cranking on it with my right. It also helps if you find the best position to put the most torque on the actual nut, and not the rotation of the flywheel.
I would run a philips screw driver through one of the open holes on the flywheel and through the open starter hole on the backing plate. As it rotates it will catch the backing plate and stop.
