Kind of amusing that a teenager can understand the concept a lot more easily than a 40-year-old. (No offense to Ryan, of course.)

FWIW, it depends on which "God" to which you're referring. Some say God hates everyone that eats pork and/or shellfish. Others say God commands you to destroy everyone that doesn't believe the same as you. And another God says that you should call the number on your screen and send in your donation, NOW, hallelujah!

So, unless you ARE God, yourself, then you're pretty much just reciting passages from a book FOR people written BY people, which pretty much renders your "authoritive" opinion of supposed divine origin completely without authority or divinity ... hence, it's just your opinion. You're entitled to it - just don't expect everyone to feel the same as you.

Oh, and to maintain forum relavence ... I love Fox-body Mustangs. :SNSign:

I'm probably pizzing in the wind here, but what the heck ... it's a slow workday...

1. Not sure how this one is a question, so ... umm, whatever;
2. Is this one a question, either? Doesn't look like it to me. Sounds more like a statement of opinion ... one with which the likes of Shirley Phelps-Roper would probably disagree (y'know, the psycho Bible-thumper chick from Kansas that protests outside of soldiers' funerals, waving "God hates f*gs" and such);
3. Ask a Muslim, or some Jews (my Ex was a converted Jew for awhile, couldn't eat pork or shrimp);
4. Ask an Islamic Fundamentalist (ex: Osama bin Laden);
5. Ask Jerry Fal-- ... oh, wait. He's dead. Never mind.

Everyone's got their own God concept, their own set of rules/laws, and their own agenda ... and they're perfectly entitled to it, just so long as they don't demand that others subscribe to their own.

Bonus Question: When will people learn the difference between the words "your" and "you're?" One is possessive, the other is a contraction of "you" and "are." It's an extra "E" and an apostraphe, and it saves a lot of confusion.

Actually Christians, Catholics, Lutherans, Babptist, Methodists, prespoterians, and others all use the King James Bible. So much for "everyone's got there own God concept"! Whats next ace!!

By definition, EVERY organized religion could be considered a "cult." Some are just more malevolent than others.

In mine, God probably thinks bisexual chicks kick ass ... so, nyahhh!
