hey yall, I have heard and have seen where people have done a slight mod for the fog lights where they stay on when you turn on your head lights. as far as I have understood there is a pin on the relay that you cut. this didnt make much since to me being a relay and all. any help would be great.

thanks...

Yes, this is true. I did this years ago, works great. Someone asked something like this a couple of years ago, and I posted a response that detailed exactly which pin to cut. I searched for my post but can't find it.

I'll try to get out and pull the relay. Meanwhile maybe someone can beat me to it...

For '01 to '04 (and perhaps some earlier model years), cutting either of the 2 coil pins on the foglamps cutout relay is the easiest approach. A disadvantage is, if you need to restore factory operation for inspection, or to avoid a ticket, you will have to buy a new relay. I used this method instead:

I think the relay coil pins align to the socket slots on either side of the jumper (bottom row in the picture).

Ok, I just pulled the fog light relay from the fuse box under the hood (check owners manual to determine which relay is the fog light relay).

Looking at the pin side of the relay, there are six pins, five of which are numbered. The pins that are NOT cut are #87a, 87, 86, 85, and 30. The pin to cut is unnumbered, and is directly next to pin #30.
