when you turn on your fog lights, there should be a little orange light on the fog light switch that lights up but on the other side of the switch there is a little picture of a light, is that supposed to light up at all too? j/w if mine is blown. thanks

Yes, that light diagram lights up. I just got a new switch and verified this. There is also wiring to the switch for this. The schematic also shows 2 lights in the switch.

FWIW- My original also is burnt out and doesn't light up. I'm guessing it's a common problem...

Nope, both light up. I took a pic of both of my switches, showing the new one lighting up and the old one not. The new one is in the convert top switch location. The center console is in my living room and I powered the lamp off of a power supply. I also tested my original switch and it didn't light up (either with the power supply or in the car).

I think that most peoples bulbs have burnt out a long time ago. This bulb is on anytime the headlights are, after all.

I'm wiring up some lights that shine on the floorboards where your feet are. It's wired into the dome light, so they will turn on and off with the dome light or just on their own with the switch. This also will allow them to automatically shut off if left accidently on like the other courtesy lights. I've been wanting to do this for a while now, and now since I'm doing a bunch of other wiring, nows the time.

The extra fog switch looks really clean and OEM. Much better than a dirt collecting coin holder. The only drawback is that I now feel like I need to buy another fog switch to fix the burnt out bulb so they match.

Yep, the switches that don't light up with the headlights are burnt out. I still have the stock one in full working order (although my fogs are burnt out) knock on wood. Just confirming since nobody else (with the stock switch) had.

how do you pull out the dust tray thing?

If you mean the coin holder thing that is in place of the switch, I tried to push it out from behind, but ended up having to break some of the tabs off to get it out. Maybe possible to do it without breaking it with a little more patience and finesse.
