I have just finished installing my pi intake on my 96 gt. this is possibly the best bolt on out there from what i can tell. the power feels the same until about 3250, but then you can really feel it starting to pull. no it doesnt pull as hard as a pi motor, but for 150 bucks brand new it cant be beat. my buddy has a mustang like mine and for the most part we sit side by side with one another when we are messing around, and today when he pulled up beside me and wanted to mess around we only stayed side by side for a few seconds, until i hit about 4000 in secong gear and started to really pull away.by the time i was in fourth gear i had already pulled a couple car lengths and could see him in my rearview. this is definately a recomendation for anyone out there with an npi motor looking for some more power.

Where did you find it for that price and can you give me some details as to how difficult or involved the install was? Is it a straight swap or does it entail manipulating pistons, fuel injectors and stuff like that? And oh yeah.. congrats!!!!!

We're waiting? LOL just kidding. After the 4.10's that will be next on my list. I like the fact that if i go PI CAMS, Intake and P&P my stock heads that i can still go power adder. BTW how did the intake seal? I read at modular depot that some of the guys are having problems with the gaskets. Which gaskets did you use?

I should have mine via ebay for that price with the aluminum crossover early next week. You may want to try there or the classifieds. Cheapest price I found elsewhere was gefracing - approx. $200.00 shipped.

For what year? The 2001 is 298 and the 99-00 is like 598. Did the prices all of a sudden go up?

just got done puttin it on my car too...but my car is/was having problems running right. has a really bad idle but it started happening the day before i did the swap go figure  anyway i bought mine off classifieds 100 bucks shipped and i did use rtv on the corners of the intake gasket

yeah its on non pi head, the guy that did it first had dyno it and IIRC he had a gain of 25 and forgot how many torque, i do have instruction sheet he made if anyone wants it just pm your email and i'll sent it over

Meanwhile let me see if i can find the post with the dyno

Congrats on the swap! ;)

I am getting ready to install SHM 2730 cams, PI Intake, Steeda Pullies, and a Cobra Catback with Borla muffs welded in.

BTW - All of you guys looking for a PI intake look in the classifieds on different boards because I found mine local for $75 used and in great shape. The same goes for the PI cams. If anyone in Houston is looking for a set of PI cams let me know I have a set out of a '99 that I don't need anymore.

the intake is located at www.50resto.com i just put it in and bolted it down the only thing i had to change was the water crossover tube in the middle of the block. but i heard the power is somewhere in the 15rwhp range but the car will feel the same until about 3500 rpms. after that you can really feel the difference. the car doesnt feel like it is starving itself on the high side of the rpms after the intake is on. there is a much smoother powerband in these motors with that intake.

What did the kit include, did it come with the bolts?

By the way...
KILLER site....I have never seen this site before and they have alot of great prices.

I just got a new intake on my car because the old one cracked on me. DID ford already install the PI intake on my car or is is just a NPI. How could it be NPI if it was put on in 2003 and my car is a 97? It looks just like the PI intake at gefracing.com. Anyone know?
