I noticed the heat exchanger for the KB does not have the 2 fans that the saleen heat exchanger does.Is it a good idea to keep the saleen heat exchanger since it may dissapate heat better?

Everyone I know that has gone from a S281 SC car to a KB has retained their cooler with fans and tank. You need to do something about the ends so they will mate though.

Thanks Marcus I thought that would make it an easier swap.

Saleen556, I think the KB heat exchanger is the same one from the 03 cobra. The fittings are a bit bigger than the saleen one (I think 1/8th).

When I had my S2, I upgraded the Heat Exchanger to a Gords Ford model. I gave Gord my Series 2 SPAL fan dimensions and he was able to make a bracket for the Saleen fans to fit on the Gords HE. We couldn't find the right one piece adapter so we had to rig it a bit with a few fittings from Napa for the hoses.

It was nice when we did the KB install because the new KB hoses were a perfect fit on the Gords HE. The fans did have to be rewired though since the old wiring is part of the Saleen kit's water pump. I had that done at my buddies shop today.
