For those U that want to vacume down A/C

For those of you that want to vacume down your A/C yourslef and cant stand to let a shop touch your baby let alone charge you 50 bucks for hooking up a vacume hose. Here are links for all the tools needed....

For around 60 bucks in tools and if you already own an air compressor your set and you can just do it all yourself!

THE ONLY WAY THAT ONE CAN BE OLD AND WISE IS TO BE YOUNG AND DUMB. pump works great held 27 of vacume for 30 minutes. I did look at you topic on how to convert. What I screwed up on when I first started to convert my 1990 was that I had a shop vacume it down then I bought the conversion kit from autozone that had the oil freon and some kind of leak stop in it. I filled it up and the system would only execpt one can of the crap before my compressor almost locked up, long story short I'm an idiot and all I needed to do was to vacume down the system and fill it with just R134a freon not the oil combo leak crap. SO far in my A/C excursion I have replaced the liquid line the dryer and hose I have unbolted my compressor and blown all the oil out of it along with the condensor and high side line put new 134 oil in compressor hooked everything back up vacumed it down and charged it with 134. I've spent close to $300 bucks on everything when in the beginning I could have spent 10 bucks on freon and 10 bucks on fittings and I could vaumed it down myself. I have learned alot about A/C but it has been an expensive lesson. THE ONLY WAY THAT ONE CAN BE OLD AND WISE IS TO BE YOUNG AND DUMB.
