Ford didn't. I does have a lot of dust on it from sitting for a couple of years.

the Olds in the background is a 88 drop top pace car, one of a handful, probably even more rare than the capri.

dude told me it started life as a 79 Capri ghia and was converted to a drop top. ASC dont list doing and ASC/McLaren Capris until 84 when they made 50, I guess its possible that the car was shipped to ASC in 79 and converted, they were doing those conversions along with t-tops then. I didn't really have time tonight to pick it apart.

Those rims were big in the late 80's, they were called "Cookie Cutters". Everyone had those on everything back in 1988. Like the Capri body lines but don't like that one, just doesn't look right. It should have a bubble hatch, it's the law on a Capri.

Interesting. IMO, Capris are best left as hatchbacks.

This one was not done by ASC.
This one was probably done by Intermeccanica

The more I think about it, that one was probably done by AHA Convertible.
I am not sure where the markings are found on these though.

I am not sure that Intermeccanica did Capri's, I know they did the mustangs.

AHA Convertible and Bivouac Industries did Capri's.
Tomaso Swift might have as well, but I will have to research more.
