Progress Thread New member w/87 Foxbody & SN95 Donor

I retract my statement sort of. Its not an 'upgrade' as the rear end housings are the same. Its just that since the SN95's came with 5-lug many people use the entire rear end assembly to make the swap simpler. As @nickyb mentioned, the SN95 axles are wider than the Foxes so you may run into clearance issues with the fenders (depending on what tire/wheel combo you run). I had to roll my rear fenders to get my New Edge GT wheels and 275 tires to not rub.

Pull the front brakes off of you donor car along with the booster and master cylinder. Will have to do a little massaging of one of the brake booster holes in the firewall to install it in the Fox. This will give you way better brakes and five lug.

Thanks for the info! I look forward to making my fox a 5 lug and don't mind rolling the rear fenders

Definitely, I planned on using everything I could from the donor car along with ecm and wire harness. My foxbody is completely gutted right now

Yeah, I would not use the wiring harness or the ECM out of the 1995 if you plan on using the factory dash harness on the 1987 car. If you have good wiring skills you could probably make it work but do some research. Also, do a search on here as to what harness you will need etc. If memory serves me correctly you will need a 1987, 1988, or 1989 ECU harness. With the 87 and non-California 88 harnesses you will need to do a mass air conversion on them where the 1988 California and 1989 harness are MAF from the factory. You will also need the injector harness and the O2 harness (correctly pinned for whichever trans you are going to use).
