I'm sure there are a few others, but I'd imagine that they are all pretty well the same concept.

Now, I am trying to figure out if these devices would work or not. The idea of it seems reasonable. But I'm not really good enough at physics to understand whether or not the swirling motion of the air would be beneficial or not.

Does anybody have any experience with these things or have the knowledge necessary to comprehend whether or not this induction concept would be beneficial?

Even if these devices did work I still would definitely not be expecting to see the gains in horsepower and fuel economy that they proclaim. However, a little extra boost or a little more efficiency never hurt.

P.S. - I realize that the name I gave this thread is not accurate seeing as though these products do not actually really give you a 'forced induction'. I spoke before I thought again. :nonono:

I've heard that they are very effective at decreasing horsepower.

They DO, on the other hand, give the car more GHP (ghey horsepower).

I removed one from my car and instantly gained 10 SHP (straight horsepower)... within minutes my attraction to the oposite gender improved, while day to day life i saw a dramatic consistant more powerful attractiveness...This product by far improved my life, thanks again!

Those things are just Computer fans or boat bilge pumps for removing hot air out of the engine compartments. worth about $10 at boating stores, although people think they can sell them for $100+

sad thing

PEOPLE ACTUALLY BUY THEM!!!

Ya they do not work very well at all, and not at all if you've ported your head and intake at all they realy suck. With a stock 2.3 I felt no difference in power and it got 1 mile to the gallon better. A short wile latter after a porting job I droped it in and noteced a decrease in power and got worse gas milage. One of my friends did rig in a 120mm computer fan into his intake hose and got like 5mpg better and said it had a little more bottom end.....pretty sure it was in his head though:) But I would do the latter rather than waste money on the tornado.
